Arc De Triomphe The Arc De Triomphe can be found at the top of Champs-elysees in the centre of the Place Charles De Gaulle. The Arc was the brain child of Napoleon. it was to honour his triumphant military force, unfortunately for Napoleon he died four years after its completion in 1836. A light burns constantly as beneath it lies the tomb of the unknown solider- a French solider who died during the 1st World War, on the 11 th November each year a Remembrance Day service takes place A trip to the top of the Arc is highly recommended epically at night.
